In 2000, Rick earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) designation through the Investments & Wealth Institute program at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania—a credential that reflects his commitment to advanced investment strategies and disciplined portfolio management.
Since 2016, Rick has been an active member of the Private Investment Management (PIM) Council at Baird, a group dedicated to supporting PIM managers across the country. His leadership was recognized when he served as Chairman from January 2022 through December 2023, guiding initiatives that strengthen best practices and elevate client outcomes.

Personal Background

Rick was born in Marshfield, Wisconsin, where most of his extended family still resides. When he was five years old, his parents moved the family to Oregon—a decision that shaped his lifelong connection to the Pacific Northwest. Today, Rick proudly calls Portland, Oregon home, blending his Midwestern roots with a deep appreciation for the region he’s served for decades.
